Level 1 Beginner
A gentle introduction to classical ballet for adults with some previous experience gained in childhood.
Socks are perfect for your first session. Wear comfortable activewear or dancewear and bring a water bottle. Before joining Level 1, you’ll need a basic understanding of ballet’s foundational foot and arm positions and movements, including: Dégagé, Rond de jambe, Port de bras, Fondu, Développé, Grand battement. If you need a refresher see these terms on YouTube or book a private session.
Tuesdays, 11:30am–1:00pm | Mornington & Fridays, 6:00pm–7:30pm | Frankston
Completely new to ballet?
We recommend starting with a 30- or 60-minute private introductory session, where we’ll gently cover the fundamentals so you feel comfortable and confident joining Level 1. Alternatively, you can prepare at home with beginner ballet videos on YouTube. Contact us for more information.
Our Beginner Ballet blog delves into what it’s truly like to begin ballet as an adult and why it’s never too late to start.

Private Coaching by appointment
Individual Progress
Access to private coaching is available for current members only. If you are a new student, please attend a Trial via an Explorer Pass or a Discovery Pass and then enrol in a membership first before enquiring about private coaching. (The exception to this is the fast track program for dancers starting from scratch and wishing to enter Level 1)
Private studio sessions provide uninterrupted, personalised instruction focused on improving technique, artistry, and overall progress. Your instructor may review your movement habits, correct alignment and coordination, and design tailored exercises to build strength, efficiency, and body awareness. Sessions can also support injury-safe retraining, confidence building, and recovery after a break.
You may receive coaching for solos or repertoire, guidance on musicality and expression, and clear goal-setting with practical steps for ongoing development. Sessions are adapted to your level—supporting adult beginners, returning dancers, intermediate refinement, and advanced technical or artistic work.
