We are experts in classical ballet.

No. Many of our adult students begin ballet for the very first time as adults. Yes, our LV0 or LV1 beginners classes are designed especially for beginners. These classes are open to new students throughout the term.

No. Adult ballet is suitable for all ages and backgrounds. Whether you’re in your 20s, 40s, 60s, or beyond, ballet can improve strength, posture, balance, mobility, and wellbeing.

You do not need to be fit or flexible before starting. Flexibility, strength, and coordination develop gradually through regular practice. Our teachers provide options and modifications to support every body.

We specialise in adult ballet education in a supportive, professional, and inclusive environment. We believe ballet is for every adult, regardless of age, experience, or background. We prioritise small, focused groups and long-term dancer development. Unlike other dance schools where adults are an afterthought, our focus is on adult learning and ballet only.

This is not a casual drop-in studio. Our ballet studio is designed for dedicated adults who are serious about growth. We operate on a membership basis only to maintain consistency and high training standards. Members commit to a structured 6 or 12 week program depending on the level.

Classes are run in 3 locations:
Studio 25, Mornington on Tuesdays and Saturdays
Frankston South Community Centre on Monday nights
Monash Peninsula, Building W on Tuesday nights
The timetable specifies at which location the scheduled class will take place.

Our team can help guide you based on your previous dance experience, confidence level, and goals. If you’re unsure, starting with a lower level is usually the best option. We can discuss this with you during our initial enquiry meeting. You can also seek level guidance here.

Yes. Trial classes are available for new students so you can experience the studio and find the right class for you. Please purchase a “Discovery Pass” for the level you are interested in trialling under Memberships.

Wear whatever you feel most at ease in while still allowing for movement while enabling teachers to see alignment clearly. While ballet shoes are perfect, socks are also acceptable for those just starting out. We also offer a range of merchandise if you prefer to avoid leotards. Please do not wear strong perfume to the studio since sweating increases intensity and it may bother other students in the confines of a small studio. Avoid wearing chunky jewellery as a safety precaution for all.

Absolutely. We understand that trying ballet for the first time can feel intimidating. Our classes are designed to be encouraging, inclusive, and judgment-free.

Yes. Note, we do not have showers at any of our locations.

Yes. Corrections are offered as information, not judgement. They are given respectfully and constructively, and never to embarrass.

Please follow the teacher’s instructions, stay aware of your surroundings, and be mindful of spacing. Avoid chatting during exercises, and respect your fellow students’ learning. Please avoid giving corrections to other students unless asked.
Members are expected to:
Arrive on time and prepared
Maintain professionalism and respect
Commit fully to training and growth
Represent the school positively

We do not have terms. We have individual 12 week membership blocks which you can join at any time (or 6 weeks for beginner levels).

We teach students above the age of 16. The majority of our students are aged between 20-70. If you are interested in separate kids ballet classes for ages 4-15, please visit our sister studio here.

Arrive no more than five - ten minutes before class.

Cubicles are available in the ballet rooms for personal items at Studio 25, Please be aware that belongings are stored at your own risk, and the studio cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen items.

Free parking is available in the car parks of the studios.

We only close on Anzac Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. If a class falls on one of these days, it will show as cancelled in the online timetable and we will try to announce it on the website and in class.

Due to limited space and to maintain focus, children under 8 may not observe classes unless they are supervised by an adult and are not disruptive. No pets are permitted in the studio. Adults not enrolled in a class should avoid remaining in the studio during class.

No. To respect privacy and copyright, recording or sharing of footage from classes, rehearsals, or performances in public or on social media is strictly prohibited without the explicit consent of the studio. Reviewing routines can help with practice and improvement. To support this, teachers may record class demonstrations and share them privately for the class’s use only.

Yes. As per our terms & conditions, images or videos captured during classes, workshops, or performances will be used to promote Ballet Éternel on marketing materials. We may take candid footage at any time without notification.

Pregnant students are welcome, with modifications provided for safety and comfort. Please inform your instructor and get medical clearance.

Yes. Modifications are always encouraged. Inform your teacher before class of injuries or conditions. We recommend that you consult your doctor or healthcare professional before joining, to ensure ballet is appropriate for you. You are welcome to opt out of certain exercises, take breaks, or adapt movements to suit your individual needs.

For safety and to minimise disruption, late entry may not be permitted once class has begun. Aim to arrive a few minutes early.

Classes are closed to maintain focus. Open days or performances will be scheduled for guests. When members are waiting for their class to begin, they can watch the very end of the class prior quietly.

Yes, we offer one to two intimate salon style performances per year regardless of level. Participation is entirely optional. Dedicated performance classes are offered separately and are tailored to all the dancers involved. These classes run outside the regular class schedule.
