MEMBERSHIP FAQ

  • What kinds of memberships do you offer?

Single Membership – Perfect if you want to build a consistent routine with 1 class per week while balancing other commitments.

Double Membership – Ideal for faster progress, allowing you to attend 2 classes per week to develop skills, fitness, and confidence more quickly.

Unlimited Membership – Get the most out of your training with unlimited access to classes, giving you the flexibility to train as often as you like and maximize your results.

  • How old do I need to be to become a member?

We welcome dancers aged 16 and over to join our community and enjoy all the benefits of our classes and programs.

For dancers aged 16–17, a parent or legal guardian's written consent is required to ensure a safe and supportive experience. Memberships for minors can be arranged directly in the studio, where our team can guide you through the enrolment process.

  • How do auto-debits work?

    A) Weekly Subscription
Your membership is spread out into weekly payments over a 12-week period (or 6 weeks if you are attending Lv0 or LV1 beginner). Your membership will automatically continue into the next 12-week billing cycle unless you let us know in writing at least 7 days before renewal.

    B) Upfront Membership
Pay for your full 12-week membership in one single payment. It’s a great choice if you prefer to have everything taken care of upfront. Like the weekly option, it will also renew automatically unless we receive written cancellation notice at least 7 days before the next cycle begins.

  • How do I cancel membership?

How do I cancel my membership?
Cancelling your membership is simple and just requires written notice.

To do this, please email info@balletforadults.com.au at least 7 days before your next 6-week or 12-week cycle begins. This ensures your cancellation is processed before your membership renews.

Once received, your request will be confirmed via email and your membership will end at the conclusion of your current billing cycle.

If you’re unsure about timing or when your renewal date is, our team can always check that for you and help make the process clear and straightforward.

  • What if I miss classes?

Our memberships are designed around your reserved weekly class spot, which means your payment holds your place in the program rather than being based on individual attendance.

Because of this, fees are not adjusted for missed classes, including absences due to illness, personal commitments, or holidays. We also do not offer make-up classes, as your spot is secured specifically for your enrolled class each week.

This structure helps us maintain consistent class sizes and ensures every student has a dedicated place in their chosen program.

  • What if I miss a payment?

If a payment fails, your bank may charge a fee, and this cost may be passed on to you. We may also attempt to process the payment again automatically.

If the payment still can’t be completed, your membership will be temporarily paused until the outstanding balance is settled. You’ll receive an email notification prompting you to fix the issue as soon as possible.

While your membership is paused, you won’t be able to book into classes, so we encourage resolving any payment issues quickly to avoid disruption to your training.

  • As a member, how do I trial a new or different class?

As a member, you’re able to explore different levels and expand your training by trying a new class through our Discovery Pass.

This gives you a simple way to experience a different class level before committing, helping you find what best suits your goals and interests. You can purchase a Discovery class once by visiting the Memberships section and selecting the Discovery Pass option.

  • What happens to enrolments as a result of public holidays?

If your regular class falls on a public holiday, you won’t miss out — a credit will be applied to your account, or if was already billed, then a refund for that class issued.

The studio closes on Anzac Day, Christmas Day, Kings Birthday, Cup Day and New Year’s Day, allowing you to enjoy a reliable schedule for the rest of the year, unless specified via email.

  • Where do I find out more about membership prices?

Simply click here for a list of prices.

  • What are the membership contract lengths?

Beginner enrolments are offered on a 6-week contract.

All other memberships are on a 12-week contract.

  • Do I still need to book classes?

No - your spot is secure.

If you can’t make a class, we also ask that you email us.

  • Are refunds available?

We don’t offer refunds, including if your instructor changes, you change your mind or your personal circumstances change. This helps us keep our class schedules, staffing, and pricing consistent for all members.

  • Can I place my membership on hold?

No. The membership commitment is for a 12 week block. Or a 6 week block if you are in the beginner cohort. Enrolment requires consistency. Absences must be limited and communicated in advance.

  • Can I transfer my enrolment contract to another student?

Enrolments are non-transferable, which means they’re linked specifically to the student who originally signed up.
